Yvonne's journey as a yoga practitioner since 2003 to a level-2 certified Forrest Yoga teacher has been enriching and rewarding through receiving from and giving back to the yoga community. Walking the path of her own healing journey from practising Forrest Yoga has taught her important lessons and tools to live her life in a much meaningful way which she's passionate about sharing to others.
She specialises in guiding her students to recover from injuries, pre- & postnatal care, coping with ailments of chronic fatigue syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back and discs injuries, sciatica, spondylitis, depression, menopause, fibromyalgia and more.
She took up her first Yoga teacher training in 2007, it is also the year that she decided to leave her demanding corporate job to full time teaching Yoga and fitness programs. Over the years, she continues to pursue her learning with many renowned teachers like Desiree Rumbaugh, Ellen Heed, Seane Corne, David Life & Sharon Gannon (Jivamukti), Amy Ippoliti, Ross Rayburn, Dice D. Klein & Briohny (Bryce Yoga) and more. She also spent many years in studying Forrest Yoga with Ana T. Forrest the creatrix herself of 40 years, assisting Ana in teacher training and Forrest Yoga workshops with Forrest Yoga Guardians in Asia.
Yvonne believes in a daily yoga practice and meditation help her to unravel and cleanse her mind and physical strains from the modern days challenges and encourage her students to do so.
Yvonne holds Forrest Yoga/Yoga workshops yearly, she teaches with an intent of encouraging her students to breathe deeply, to feel, and to clear through the backlog of pain and tensions. She communicates authentically to guide her students to go deeper and see beyond the layers that is clogged with numbness and pain to cultivating compassion and healing in their practice. She often relates real life experiences and challenges in class and guides, assists and develops presence and awareness to her students.
